We were given a real business problem to solve and not just a task to keep two students busy for a while. We were a real part of the organization while we conducted our work and participated in a series of meetings. We were given ample product training as well as briefings on business plans and strategies to ensure we actually knew the matter of our investigation. As our work centered around France and UK, we got to travel to both subsidiaries several times to spend time in the field with sales representatives, seeing customers and discussing business with local management. Coloplast wanted something relevant out of the work we did and that’s a great starting point for any thesis.
